Terms of Service

DRAFT — template pending legal counsel review; not legal advice.

Last updated: 16 June 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the websites, the free domain scanner, and the API (together, the "Service") provided by Lumira LLC ("Lumira," "we," "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

Lumira runs automated checks on a domain's public email-authentication and domain-health signals (such as SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TLS/SSL, MX/DNS, and blacklist status) and returns letter grades and findings.

Best-effort, not a guarantee

Results are best-effort and not a guarantee. They are point-in-time and reflect public DNS and TLS data observed at the moment of the check, which can change at any time and may be incomplete, cached, rate-limited by third parties, or temporarily unavailable. Verify results before relying on them. A passing grade is not a warranty of deliverability or security, and a failing grade is not a definitive statement of compromise. Do not treat results as professional, legal, or security advice.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for domains you own or are authorized to assess, and only for lawful purposes. You will not:

  • scan or probe domains or systems you do not own or have permission to test, or use the Service for any unlawful, infringing, or abusive activity;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent rate limits, bot-protection, or access controls;
  • resell, scrape, or build a competing dataset from the Service except as expressly permitted; or
  • use results to harass, defame, or harm any party.

We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or threatens the Service.

API keys

If you receive an API key, you are responsible for keeping it confidential and for all activity under it. Usage may be subject to quotas and rate limits.

No warranty (as-is)

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate or complete.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LUMIRA WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON ITS RESULTS. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Lumira harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service and may update these Terms. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. We will revise the "last updated" date above for material changes.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive venue for disputes is the state or federal courts located in Nevada, and you consent to their jurisdiction, to the extent permitted by law.
